이런문제도 있었구나.
vmware에 가상화를 기반으로 linux 환경을 구축하고 제아무리 ntpdate를 이용하여 시간을 동기화 해도 단 몇분만에시간이 헝클어지는 현상이 일어나 찾아보니 아무래도 vmware와 linux 커널사이에 문제 인것 같다.
vmware에서 돌아가는 가상 OS의 시간이 제대로 돌아가는지 확인하려면 ntpdate를 이용해서 시간을 동기화하고3~5분 후에 date 명령어로 확인해보면 맞춰진 시간이 크게 느리거나 빠르면서 어긋나고 있는 것을 확인할 수 있다.

* 시간이 실제보다 더 빨리갈 경우
Sample Syntax for GRUB:
title Fedora Core (2.6.9-1.667)

* 시간이 실제보다 더 느리게 갈경우
